Does getting dressed for the holidays scare you? How about gift shopping? Or, how about traveling during the holidays? If you wince in fear to any of those questions—fear no more. Emma Roberts, who I’m officially deeming the queen of the holidays, has some words of wisdom. Cue the holiday cheer!

The actress has teamed up with LOFT for its latest holiday collection (which also happens to be its first-ever celebrity campaign). In it, Roberts showcases a number of festive-forward outfits that she handpicked herself, offering some welcomed inspiration for anyone asking themselves, “What do I wear for [insert festivities]?” It’s like LOFT and Roberts knew exactly what we needed this time of year.

Roberts has long admired “LOFT’s effortless and elevated style,” she shared exclusively with InStyle via email. But, aside from the aligned style ethos, the actress also noted the brand’s pieces are “timeless, versatile, and chic, exactly the style I turn to for the holidays.” TL;DR? The collection serves as your one-stop shop for all your festive needs; per Roberts, it “has everything you need for the season: party looks, cozy sweaters, and gifts for everyone, including yourself!”

Naturally, I had to ask Roberts her go-to piece from the collection—and, her pick makes total sense. “The red dress with the bow definitely put me in the holiday spirit,” she shared, noting that “you can never go wrong with red.” Amen to that. As for her tried-and-true holiday party formula? “I love a monochromatic look,” she explained. “Dressing in head-to-toe red, white, or even a surprising Lime Citrus can bring the festive feel,” she concluded. She also had a genius beauty tip for when you feel like your outfit is missing a little something: ”When all else fails, I throw on a red lip!”

Given the holidays are also synonymous with (high-stress) traveling, I was curious to ask Roberts about her no-fail airport outfit as well as what’s always in her carry on. To no surprise, she noted “comfort first” for the former, always opting for sneakers and the tried-and-true combo of jeans and a tee. What’s more, she called out LOFT’s jeans, calling its denim a “staple in my wardrobe,” and TBH, after seeing Roberts in some of the brand’s styles, I’m inspired to pick up a few for myself (especially those barrel-legs).

Last but not least, I had to ask Roberts about what’s always in her carry on. Her picks? Genius, of course. “I can’t travel without my Drowsy eye mask, warm fuzzy socks, more books than I can read, and a pen,” she spilled.
